West Texas Bench Bar Conference
The Second Annual West Texas Bench Bar Conference, hosted by the Midland County Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas, is scheduled for September 6-8, 2007 at The Inn of the Mountain Gods in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Speakers and Topics
Keynote speakers include State Bar President Elect, Harper Estes; Justice Rick Strange of the Eastland Court of Appeals; Judge Robin Malone Darr of the 385th District Court of Midland County; either Texas Supreme Court Justice Wainwright or Chief Justice Jim Wright of the Eastland Court of Appeals; former state district court Judge, Tryon Lewis; Assistant U.S. Attorney Glenn Roque-Jackson; Texas Tech Law Professor, Nancy Soonpaa; and Midland lawyers, Marie Galindo, Darren Skyles, David Lauritzen, and Mike Willson. MCBA also hopes to have additional presentations from New Mexico jurists and legal services presentations.
CLE, Fee and Registration Information
Conference Fee is $288.00 ($248.00 for Judges) for over 12.0 hours of CLE. Breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday; snacks on Thursday, Friday and Saturday; and Dinner on Friday night are included in the cost. Room accommodations, travel costs, and entertainment costs are additional.
