They Had a Dream Too
Midland Community Theater
Midland Young Lawyers is presenting this TYLA program to 100 Midland High School students and 100 Midland Lee High School students this Spring. "They Had a Dream Too," TYLA's newest high school curriculum project, is designed to inspire and educate 11th and 12th graders about the important and often little-known roll of students, teenagers nad children in the Civil Rights Movement. Justice Wainwright of the Texas Supreme Court is set to be the keynote speaker. We realize this is during the workday morning, but all Young Lawyer members are encouraged to volunteer and/;or attend.; For more information, see: Texas Young Lawyers Association or

By far, this is everyone's favorite community service project. Every year the Young Lawyers sponsor this program for the Children's Advocacy Center. Please give two hours of your time to play a lawyer, a judge, a court reporter, or a bailiff, and help young witnesses prepare to testify in Court. Six to twelve volunteers needed. Free pizza provided. Signups will begin soon.
